The capital Panjim is a mere 20 kms away, while the airport at Dabolim only 14 kms away and Vasco Da Gama a further two kms adrift. Margao, the commercial capital of Goa is a mere 15 kms away.

Barely a kilometre away from "Casa de Morgado" is a fresh water spring named Kesarval. It's a popular picnic spot among Goans and an ideal place for a getaway over the weekend.

The village market is 1.5 km away from "Casa de Morgado".

The market area houses a post office, the police outpost, a fish market, a vegetable market and a meat market. Within walking distance are the laundry service and small grocery shops and restaurants serving typical Goan fare.

Also within walking distance from the market area is the Church of Saints Philip and James, one of the oldest churches in South Goa. A casual walk down the road will help the guest experience the beauty contained in looming hills and the Zuari river snaking lazily down across the bridge. Running parallel to the national highway is the Konkan Railway line, which connects the four States of Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa.
