The 'Casa de Morgado' has undergone extensive renovation and modernisation. However, due care has been taken to preserve the original Portuguese and Moorish architecture in an attempt to depict the real essence of a bygone era.

The extensive garden on both sides of the house has beautifully landscaped lawns and a lot of flowering plants and trees,  an ideal setting for luring a large variety of birds from adjoining areas.

Painted delicately on the tiles is a subtle collage of a typical village scene emanating from 'Casa de Morgado' and leading to the Cortalim Church and the local feast procession, while also portraying the social and cultural aspects of the Goan way of life.
